Anyone living in the Glencairn area or travelling to the area should not miss a visit to the Glencairn Community Market, held on the last Saturday of each month from 9am-12pm (weather-permitting). The market is located at 75 Glen Rd, Glencairn.
It was founded by Glencairn residents Dane Cherry and Malinda Coetzee and already celebrates its 5th year. This popular market provides an opportunity for local traders and crafters to sell their wares and provides a great day out for the whole family.
There are up to 32 traders, selling a variety of handmade goods, crafts, gifts, food and baked goods, and much more. There’s also live music, kids’ entertainment and a cash bar. There is also the charming “Cilla's Tea Garden” which operates alongside the market and has become a great family gathering place for scones and cake, says Malinda Coetzee, organiser of the market.
The market is a community highlight and adds to the lifestyle offered in the Glencairn area, says Seeff Branch Manager, Anton Liebenberg.
